Tourism returning
We now understand that tourism is returning to Fez. We have heard from two people in the
business, the first a director of a Fez-based travel agency and the second an
owner of a boutique hotel. Both see
increased tourism this year and the beginning of strong booking seasons for this
fall as well as the spring of 2013. This
is welcome news after an 18-month lull in Fez tourist numbers.
So then, is now the time to buy?
As of late, owners of several properties in the Fes
Properties portfolio have adjusted their pricing according to the correction in
the property market – which itself is tied closely to the tourism market.
Especially desiring to sell in the next twelve months, these owners have seen
the necessity of revising their expectations. Few expect a return to the day of
overinflated deals at property closings. Yet with the return of tourism to Fez
will come some increase in pricing.
Deflated pricing and increasing tourism are good
indicators that now is the time to contact Fes Properties.
